It was 3 a.m. the other night and I was laying down with the laptop on my chest and my neck crouched awkwardly in front of the screen searching online stores for headboards. Yes. typical Arianna behavior.
I've known for some time that the next big piece I need for my room is a new headboard. While the one I have has served me well and still looks nice with my room, I just need a change. In fact the headboard I currently have is one my mom and I made our selves. I'm really proud of it and impressed that it's still in tact (high five mom). But I'm getting bored over here and I think its time to switch things up.
The photos above are just some that I found while looking for some inspiration. Clearly I'm dead set on getting a velvet tufted headboard. It's a bit of vintage glam and a bit romantic. I can just imagine the rich texture of velvet looking stunning against my white bedding. Now the question is whether I want to keep the color neutral or be a little more daring and go for something bold and exciting. I had almost convinced myself to go for a deep bold blue, but THEN I saw the black velvet headboard and my initial plan immediately went out the window. It's settled black velvet it is! I can be bold and exciting next time…
