I seem to do this thing were I post regularly for a while and then out of nowhere I disappear. It's not because I don't care about this little space I have on the internet (because I truly do) It's just that I begin to question whether what I write about is worthy of putting out there. Perhaps this is a common feeling among others who venture into the world of lifestyle blogging. I can't even imagine how actual bloggers feel sometimes. Sidenote: I don't consider myself a blogger, I just happen to have a blog that I set up for free. Since I am a pretty private person vulnerability often creeps up on me when I think about having my thoughts, opinions and experiences available to whomever may stubble across this blog.
Does anyone even care? Is this even important? Is posting a picture of my dinner or coffee add value to anyone? Definitely not. These are the questions that often pop into my head as I begin to write. I usually end up deleting everything, walking away and before I know it two months have passed without a word from me. Is the content of this blog meaningless? Well, maybe for some but for me it's a good place for me to be creative - to write, to photograph, to edit - and all that makes me happy. Working on a liberal arts degree in sociology doesn't exactly allow me to be very creative, so this is my place to do so.

Also when I think about it, my favorite thing to do is to read personal lifestyle blogs. I very much enjoy seeing what people have to say even if its just about the food they ordered at brunch or the tiny details of their day. I am most inspired by people that I've somewhat gotten to know through blogs and vlogs. Blogging is an amazing thing and its something I like to do purely for pleasure. I guess sometimes I forget that its just a fun little thing.
So here is the advice I'm offering to myself: From here on out I'm challenging myself to try and not over think this. Write because its fun and becasue you enjoy it so much. Do it for yourself and don't take it too seriously. This is a personal blog after all, so spill your guts out and don't give two shits about it. Carry on because there is plenty of room online for some random ramblings from another 20-something.
