Having a map in my room to me is like having a bookcase full of books- that you've actually read! Something about it makes me feel cultured, and worldly. Though my brothers just call me a hipster for it, whatever. I love my map. Wanderlust, that word just popped in my head. I basically have an intense desire to travel the world, so this is just a constant reminder of that and it's what I'll have to settle for till I can jet off. That, plus watching hours on end of house hunters international and living abroad on HGTV will have to hold me over. Seriously those are two of my favorite shows. One last reason I love this map so much is that it provides perspective on how big this place actually is. Ok, who would have thought that there could be so many reasons for purchasing a simple map, essentially a big piece of thin paper. I'll just let you know where I found mine and let you be on your way. I bought this at Urban Outfitters in-store. Unfortunately I can't seem to find this on their website at the moment (bummer) but they do have other maps to choose from online and maybe they might have some in stock in stores.
